Attorneys Helping You With Temporary Total Disability (TTD)
If you are off work because of your injury, you should receive your lost wages in the form of temporary total disability (TTD). People often need a lawyer’s help to make sure they are getting the appropriate amount of TTD.
To protect your rights, speak with a workers’ compensation lawyer at Berger & Michelena: 800-488-4813.
We will review your case and your previous salary to determine whether you are receiving enough compensation.
Helping Workers Get Adequate TTD Compensation
TTD benefits are two-thirds of your average weekly earnings (AWE). Your AWE is typically calculated based on the income you earned in the previous 52 weeks of work prior to your injury, including overtime and the monetary value of extra benefits you receive from work. This can vary, however. The TTD amount is subject to the state’s maximum and minimum payments caps.
If your amount was not calculated properly, we can work to get you the TTD benefits you are entitled to receive. We can also help you get more time off work, if necessary. It is not unusual for insurance company doctors to send employees back to work before they are ready.
Whether you need additional medical treatment or an appropriate amount of temporary disability benefits, you can turn to us for assistance. We understand that you need sufficient time and money to recover after a serious work injury.
