Construction workers’ accidents can be unexpected

On Behalf of | Apr 14, 2021 | Firm News

There are so many factors in life that are out of a person’s control. This is definitely true while at the workplace in California or in any other state. This can be particularly dangerous for construction workers, since one can be so easily injured in construction workers’ accidents. One construction worker was certainly surprised in a recent and unexpected accident that sent him to the hospital.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital via airlift after something collapsed suddenly beneath him. The man was working as part of a construction crew that was working on a sewer line. Apparently, the worker had been standing in a trench when the incident occurred in mid-October. Reportedly, before authorities arrived on the scene, the man was being dug out of the trench with a backhoe.

Multiple rescue and fire departments had been dispatched to tend to the emergency. The worker was reportedly injured; however, the specific injuries suffered have not been revealed in public reports. The latest information released to the public reveals that medical personnel believe the man will survive and is expected to recover.

However, even if the man survives, he will more than likely face heavy medical bills resulting from the treatment received following the accident. This is a potential problem for many injured in construction workers’ accidents in California and elsewhere. Luckily, those who are injured in a workplace accident may have the possibility of obtaining benefits via workers’ compensation. This can be helpful in paying for medical bills.
