Everybody needs to start somewhere. At some point in a worker’s career, he or she will be considered a beginner in one’s trade. This initial phase is necessary for workers to grow their skills and experience in order to move forward. However, in many work environments, less experience means a higher chance of experiencing a workplace injury — whether in California or another state.

Unfortunately, this was the case in a recent fatal accident which killed one woman who had only been on the job for a few weeks. The 22-year-old was working as a forklift operator when she was killed in the workplace accident in late October. Reports indicate that the incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. Authorities are now investigating the scene of the accident in order to determine what may have happened.

The woman was generally known as a friendly individual who loved her job. She was also a mother of an 8-month-old infant. Her roommate said that the decedent enjoyed her job because it allowed her to spend more time with her baby. The victim also served as a part of the National Guard and was also a war veteran.

Perhaps the most tragic part of the story is the infant who will be left motherless. Indeed, the mother may have been a primary income provider. Worker’s compensation death benefits are designed to address these types of on-the-job tragedies in California. These state-regulated insurance proceeds are typically available concerning a fatal workplace injury to cover funeral and burial costs as well as to provide a lost income package for covered dependents of the deceased. worker.
